SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket and Dragon 2 spacecraft from @NASAKennedy Space Center early Sunday morning, marking its 23rd cargo mission to the International Space Station (@ISS).
On Aug.30, the spacecraft will arrive at the orbiting lab packed with more than 4,800 pounds (2,200 kilograms) of cargo.
On station, the crew can look forward to a delivery of student-led experiments, assortments of cheese and ice cream, and new research projects.
Orbiting approximately 250 miles above Earth, the space station laboratory is a multipurpose, one-of-a-kind facility enabling research and technology development in a microgravity environment.
