Ford plant in the UK
American automaker Ford will spend $ 315 million to transform a plant in the UK. According to the automaker, after the transformation, the plant will focus on the production of electric vehicles. Information about this is spread by CNBC.
Ford says the UK government’s contribution to the investment will be 30 million Pound Sterling.
“This will further strengthen our ability to start producing electronic vehicles across Europe. “We estimate that 2/3 of the cars produced by the automaker will be completely electronic or hybrid by around 2030,” said Stuart Rowley, Ford of Europe.
The publication writes that the company plans to produce about 250,000 electronic vehicles a year, noting that this investment will help maintain existing jobs.
