The new version of the coronavirus – “Miu” – should be taken seriously, but it is not yet a threat, said the head of the US Institute of Allergic and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauch.
He also noted that the “miu” variant of the coronavirus has mutations that could bypass the protection of antibodies produced by vaccines.
“We are closely monitoring this option. We take everything seriously, but at the moment we do not consider it a direct threat, “said the director of the US Center for Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Recall, on September 1, the World Health Organization announced that it was monitoring the “Miu” variant of the coronavirus.
