Elon Musk’s Boring Company to Build Underground Tunnels for Tesla in Downtown Las Vegas
The Boring Company has received permission to build underground tunnels in downtown Las Vegas, writes The Verge.
Upon completion, the city will have a network of underground tunnels with a total length of 46.6 km. It includes the airport, popular casinos and hotels in the city. There will be a total of 51 stops.
Now Tesla has completed the construction of one section with a length of 2.7 km. It can accommodate a maximum of 70 cars at a time.
So far, the tunnels are reserved for Tesla cars that have to be driven with their own hands. But in the future Boring Company plans to use special platforms that move the car without the participation of the driver.
