The price of Bitcoin broke another record on Sunday, January 8th. In particular, its value has doubled in the last few weeks and it is currently worth $ 39,500.

For reference: The world’s most popular cryptocurrency has experienced record growth since December 16. About four weeks ago, its price exceeded $ 20,000 for the first time.

“People seem to prefer Bitcoin because of currency depreciation,” said Moh Zion Sim, an analyst at Bank of Singapore.

Blockchain-based virtual currency has been around for almost a decade. In 2020, the demand for it from international investors increased sharply, as a result of which the capitalization of the cryptocurrency market reached $ 1 trillion.
